I've been a YouTube fan of Dr. Gregory Johnson's Ring Dinger for years and have also watched the various Y-Strap videos on YouTube. I picked up this product and another version of this product to compare. Both products are virtually identical and equally effective, but this one had the better price. This product can be used to perform the high-velocity, low-amplitude traction by chiropractors and it does the job and works wonders. It also works in a slow stretch mode to gently decompress and elongate the neck and spine for an unbelievable deep stretch. You will feel this relaxing stretch.

This was a gift for a friend that is a Doctor of Chiropractic. This is essentially her thoughts... This is very well made & the design well thought through. The inside has neoprene that gives traction against the skin, so it's easier than what my friend (the DC) was using (a scarf). "Having used a scarf for a traction adjustment and been both the doctor and the patient, I (the DC) can attest to the fact that less pressure is needed to make the correction, it is more comfortable for both and is both light and easily packable." I watched youtube videos by surgeons and they said they saw the potential benefits. Having seen chiropractors do this over and over it looked simple enough to use. I ordered it with confidence and it has proven that out. I won't pull with 100% strength but maybe 70 to 80% At times I can hear the popping. The way I am doing it seems to go down to mid back with the useful stretches. For my wife it has proven itself to be useful and I would suspect for a lot of people it would be beneficial.

I'm a chiropractor and I purchased this, actually, for my husband to use on ME! I wouldn't use the chin strap because it may cause TMJ issues. But, then you may have to be sure the head strap doesn't slip off. It's made of a good material that grips, so it isn't a bad problem. The angle seems correct for MOST spines, but may need a tweak for certain curvatures. When you use this, please don't pull too quickly or let up on the traction abruptly or you can cause spasm or worse. It's best to have a clear understanding of anatomy and when you are trying to accomplish. So if you are not educated to know, please don't use or or use it very cautiously.
